A Legacy Continues with Modern Culinary Flair
¡Bienvenidos a Tortilla Flats!
Whether you came in for our Award-winning Margaritas, a quick lunch, or a
relaxing dinner, let us serve you from recipes with a forty-five-year history.
Our original owner and gourmet chef, Cheryl Marquez, incorporated
the light French touch into the warmth of Mexican chiles.
Her unique variations on enchiladas, moles, Mexican flavors can’t be found
anywhere else on the planet. They’re available here every day, year-round.
Over twenty-five years ago, a young waitress with a fresh design degree, an engaging
smile, and an amazing mane of brown hair captured the heart of our founder.
Under Cheryl’s wing, Zolina Zeravica learned the ways of foodservice
and bartending, formed long-lasting bonds with hundreds of customers,
and gained the trust and friendship of the entire staff.
She and her parents are now the owners of this charismatic little restaurant.
Their aim is to continue to serve fine food and drinks to you, with the help
of the amazing staff, and earn your lifelong loyalty.
Whether enjoying one of our exclusive recipes, sipping one of our fine tequilas,
or savoring a perfect house-made dessert, relax in the accessible, intimate,
warm & homey setting that has been loved by locals for generations.
Saludos,
The Tortilla Flats Family
Through the lens of three generations, women artists – Zolina, Azra, and Vaitea – pave the way for their family and leave their legacy on society’s cultural landscape.
Their individual and unique creativity transcends time, coloring our world with beauty, empowerment, and the echoes of their enduring influence.
The illustration (right) of our storefront was hand-painted by our big fan, loyal customer, and youngest in line of women owners: Vaitea Lani Sui (daughter of Zolina Zeravica and granddaughter of Azra Simonetti, mother/daughter owners).
