This time-honored celebration is not about mourning but about embracing the continuity of life and the joyful memories of loved ones who have passed away.
Dating back to the Aztec civilization, the holiday originally honored Mictecacihuatl, the Lady of the Dead. Today, it brings together families and communities, encouraging us to celebrate life and remember those we’ve lost in a vibrant and colorful way.
